Tomas Puchly - Founder
Welcome to Aqua Royal Academy, Dubai’s exclusive swimming academy delivering world-class coaching to swimmers of all ages and skill levels. I’m Tomas Puchly, the founder, and I’m dedicated to transforming your swimming journey with unparalleled expertise and passion.
With over 24 years in the world of swimming, including a decade competing at the professional level, I represented Slovakia as part of the Slovak National Team and DUKLA Military Sports Centre. My career highlights include breaking over 200 national records and achieving top finishes, such as 11th at the World Championships and 6th at the European Championships.
For the past 8+ years, I’ve coached swimmers globally, from babies taking their first splash to professional athletes and triathletes chasing elite performance. My coaching philosophy blends technical precision, personalized training, and a deep love for the sport, ensuring every swimmer reaches their full potential. At Aqua Royal Academy, we are focused on empowering swimmers of all levels and ages, from infants to adults, beginners to professionals, and triathletes, with tailored programs designed to meet your unique goals.

Martin Miksa - Mental Coach
Martin is our academy’s mental performance coach, bringing science-based methods that help athletes unlock their full potential. With over 6 years of coaching experience and 100+ clients guided, he specializes in building focus, discipline, and resilience - the qualities that define success firstly in/ during training and later on during race (day) itself.
Martin helps athletes develop a growth mindset, handle pressure, and build lasting confidence. He equips them with practical tools to sharpen concentration, stay calm under stress, and turn daily habits into progress. Beyond the pool, Martin also coaches parents of young athletes, giving them proven strategies to support their children effectively, raising not only stronger athletes, but also resilient, confident, and kind individuals.
